Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. will be hosting an exclusive membership interest meeting for qualified women interested in joining our professional sisterhood. Participation in this meeting requires the completion of the official Membership Interest Form.The Membership Interest Form serves as the first step in the consideration process and must be completed fully and accurately to be reviewed for eligibility. Submission of the form allows our leadership team to thoughtfully assess alignment with the mission, values, and standards of Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc.

Please note that membership consideration is selective. Eta Rho Sigma is committed to maintaining a sisterhood of women who demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to service. Candidates are encouraged to submit responses that clearly reflect their experience, intent, and readiness to contribute to the organization.

Membership Eligibility & Expectations

Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. is a professional sisterhood created for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color who align with our mission, values, and commitment to leadership, service, and excellence.

To be considered for membership, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Possess a minimum of two to four consecutive years of professional or entrepreneurial experience, demonstrated through certified practice, licensure, or an established level of professional proficiency.
Demonstrate a clear commitment to community service and a willingness to actively participate in service initiatives sponsored by the sorority.
Exhibit ethical conduct, professionalism, leadership capacity, and accountability in both personal and professional endeavors.
Attend a minimum of two Eta Rho Sigma–sponsored meetings or public events prior to submitting a membership application.
Successfully complete and submit the official membership application, including all required documentation and applicable fees.
Agree to uphold and adhere to the sorority’s Constitution, Bylaws, policies, and Code of Conduct.
Commit to active participation in the sorority’s programs, initiatives, and organizational responsibilities.
Attend a formal Information Session with all required documentation as outlined in the official Letter of Invitation.

Membership Process & Invitation Policy

Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. extends membership by invitation only and does not engage in individual solicitation. All membership approvals are granted at the national level. Local chapters host public-facing events such as forums, cultural programs, service initiatives, and social engagements to provide prospective candidates with opportunities to learn more about the organization, its mission, and its community impact.

HER Society: The Invitation-Only Experience

The HER Society Membership Experience begins exclusively with an official invitation letter, bearing the signatures of the National President and the Membership Maven, issued on official Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. letterhead.

Participation in any HER Society or membership-related activities prior to receiving an official invitation letter is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to engage in such activities before formal acceptance will result in automatic disqualification from membership consideration.

Anti-Pledging Policy

Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. maintains a strict no-pledging policy. There are no pledging activities before, during, or after initiation.

Any individual who knowingly participates in pledging-related activities will be immediately disqualified from membership consideration.
Any initiated member found to have participated in or facilitated pledging activities may be subject to suspension or expulsion, in accordance with national disciplinary procedures.
