Our History

Founded in 2020 in Vero Beach, Florida, Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc.® (ΗΡΣ) is an international, non-collegiate business sorority committed to advancing women in business and professional leadership. Established by two Black, college-educated entrepreneurs, the organization was created to meet the growing need for intentional sisterhood, strategic networking, and professional development beyond traditional collegiate spaces.

Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. serves Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color professionals and entrepreneurs by providing access to resources that support both personal and professional growth. Our members benefit from meaningful connections with accomplished women across industries, leadership development opportunities, and service initiatives that strengthen communities and drive impact.

Rooted in inclusivity, equity, and social responsibility, ΗΡΣ is dedicated to fostering leadership that is principled, informed, and action-oriented. Mission

The mission of Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. is to empower and support Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color professionals and entrepreneurs through intentional sisterhood, leadership development, and access to strategic resources that foster both personal and professional growth.

We are committed to fostering unity and collaboration, uplifting and serving our communities, and cultivating an inclusive environment grounded in equity, integrity, and social responsibility. Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Inc. exists to inspire and equip women as leaders, innovators, and catalysts for meaningful change while advocating for equal access, opportunity, and justice.

The Coat of Arms

The Coat of Arms of Eta Rho Sigma Sorority, Incorporated embodies the guiding principles and enduring values of our sisterhood. Each element has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the depth of our mission, the strength of our bond, and the integrity with which we lead.

The Crown represents the foundation of HER: Heart, Experience, and Relationships, symbolizing leadership rooted in purpose, wisdom gained through experience, and the power of meaningful connection.

The Black-Necked Swan signifies depth, wisdom, grace, and unity, reflecting the collective strength and poise of our sisterhood as we move with intention and clarity.

The Swan Wings Tulip symbolizes resilience, growth, and collective strength, representing the unwavering support and elevation of one another within the sorority.

The Sorority Stones reflect purity, clarity, and steadfast integrity, guiding our path and reinforcing our commitment to principled leadership and purposeful service.
